The south is my favorite area of the Dominican Republic for its great diversity. There we can find crystalline blue rivers, white sand beaches or pebble beaches, lakes, cenotes, caves, in short, countless attractions for nature lovers and tourism.
In this article, I want to show you the points that for me are the most important of the region, and that you cannot miss in your tour of the “deep” south of the Dominican Republic.
Let’s start with Barahona, known by many as “The Pearl of the South”. No wonder, there are landscapes that stand out for the contrast between the blue of the sea and the green of the mountains. In addition, there are endless options for lovers of sustainable tourism, and those who enjoy hiking, surfing and other sports activities.
